David Richard Teece is a former lawyer, journalist, and stand-up comedian. For eight years he wrote and edited non-fiction for the Pittsburgh Press, Florida Times-Union, and Corpus Christi (Tex.) Caller-Times. He received several writing awards as a journalist, including First Place honors from the Florida Press Club. Mr. Teece’s experiences have taken him around the country and the world, reporting from Eastern Europe and the Caribbean and living in New York, San Francisco, and Brussels, Belgium. Most recently he spent two years in Turkey, completing his first novel, Frogs in the Toaster (and Other Turkish Love Songs). He currently is on the road again – this time to Spain – and working on his second novel, tentatively titled America’s Guest.
