Gabriella Brand’s short stories, poems, and essays have appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, Room Magazine, The Mom Egg, Culinate, Step Away, and dozens of other publications. One of her short stories was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2013. She divides her time between Connecticut, where she teaches, and Quebec, where she canoes, hikes and daydreams. She is the founder of The Praying Mantis Salon, a New England literary showcase. Gabriella babbles in at least five languages, but only writes in English and French. She travels widely, mostly on foot.
